I initially intended to buy another brand but bought this rack based on the reviews and price.
I came across the swagman xtc 2 bike and read every review i could find.
Works great on my 2008 ford explorer sport trac with 2 inch hitch.
If you only want to go out on your own this mount is adjustable so you can mount one bike without impacting the quality of the bike rack.

The swagman xtc2 is a wonderful option because it offers the option to carry two bikes.
Very simple assembly and rack is very solid with bikes installed.
The rack took about 4 days to come in and it was super easy to put together and install.
I ve only used it for a single bike to this point but it s easy to mount and secure the bike and i like that it folds up when not in use and can swing away from the tailgate with bikes loaded.
The rubber straps can be resized to accommodate a wide range of tires.
I like the wheel straps as an extra bit to stability and the ratcheting top bar stabilizer that can be locked and of course the locking hitch pin.
